Cobán Water Project

When the poor seek water and there is none, I the Lord will hear them.
[Isaiah 41:17]

Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved with the Cobán Water Project. The simplest of which is to donate toward the project.  $50 provides one Guatemalan family with clean, safe water for up to five years.  Please feel free to donate in any increment- any and all help is appreciated. If you are interested in donating or would like more information, please click on the "Donate" tab above.

Every December, St. Patrick's hosts an event called Evening for Brighter Tomorrows. EBT is a benefit dinner in which most of the proceeds go directly to the cost of water filters for the Cobán Water Project. Please contact Cappy Moore (cmoore@stpatrick-edina.org) for details about the event.

Finally, for the adventurous, St. Pat's makes a few trips down to Cobán each year.  Trips are available to adult parishioners and college students.  The adult trip is typically a one week pilgrimage to Cobán and is centered around delivering water filters and spending time at Resurrection Priory in prayer and community with the monks.  Please contact Cappy Moore if you would like more information about participating in the adult trip.

The college trip to Cobán is two weeks long and has more of a service emphasis as well as an opportunity to deliver water filters.  To learn more about this trip, click on "College Trip" above under the "Get Involved" tab.
